I just cooked a 14 pound turkey today for the wife and I..

Went to the daughter in laws for Christmas dinner, guess she never heard you have turkey for Christmas.. At least my Christmas's have turkey..

Christmas dinner was smoked ham with all the trimmings.  Was very good.  Just gave the dogs the ham bone.  So all is well.

You can use smoked ham...to me it gives better flavor. :)

I didn't know that. I usually give the bones to the dogs for their Christmas feast. Didn't realize I was wasting something good for people.  I'll try to remember the next time.

   :funny The bone in the beans make the best tasting beans there is.  smileys eyes We always save the bone (Even in the freezer) to make a good pot of beans  Beard

Yeah, I freeze the bone with some of the trimmings and a few scraps...still got one in the freezer that I might pull out, LOL
