Is it just on certain programs, or does it do it all the time?

I ask skhilled over on his site and he said

LOL! Probably mistakenly hitting keypresses that enlarge the text. Different laptops have different key press to do things. He could also have the Magnifier on in Ease of Access. ;)

No problem...Go to Start -> Accessories -> Ease of Access. :D

You can fix it there

Check and see if you have a stuck key and make sure nothing is spilt in the keyboard area. Depending on your make and model , make sure not to hit the Function (fn), Control key or if you have a MAC, the apple key. Without more information I could be just guessing till the chickens starts crowing again.

All else fail, return it and get a Mac Pro  wasen't me

How new is you LT ? New to you? or brand new 2 weeks ago?

The Fonts does not get bigger when you are not typing .... Right? ..... If the Fonts ( words ) gets bigger when typing, then it sounds like there is a key that may be stuck or accidently being pressed.

Google your HP and model for shortcut keys that makes your screen bigger, each make and model of pc's has their own shortcut keys.

for example .... Ctrl (control ) and + both together makes my screen fonts bigger
